The constitution places the Irish language as the official language of the 
island of Ireland and the English as the second language.
Dev' hoped that this would mean that we would all eventually speak Irish 
someday. Mind you he'd been happy if we all wore clothes like we were 
extras from Darby O'Gilll & the little people.
