Vinayak Risbud's [vinayak_risbud at asiansonly.net] 17 lines of dribble included:
> Hi Friends,
> Kindly inform me how to clear the console of Linux
> using C .
#include <stdio.h>
int main(void)
{
	printf("\033c");
	printf("\033[2J");
	return(0);
}
This resets and clears a VT100 terminal[1]

First print statment resets the terminal. The second Clears the screen.
I use it basically for when you cat a binary file. It does what you want
anyways.
Regards,
Philip.
