Well, Saturday's meeting did turn out pretty well after all.
Pity about the low turnout, though.
I was very happy with the way my talk turned out. It was
much more 'interactive' than I expected, which was good.
In fact, it was closer to a BOF (birds-of-a-feather) than
a presentation. I know I learned a few things...
Anyway, after that experience, I'd like to encourage more
BOF-like sessions at future meetings. We just need two
things for a BOF:
1. A topic with a short list of starting points for discussion
2. Someone who knows a little bit about the topic to
'chair' it. (I hate that word 'chair'. Sounds way
too formal.)
Some of these sessions could be targetted at experts and some
for beginner/intermediate, of course.
Anyone have any comments, suggestions, or topics they'd like
to talk about?
Later,
Kenn
