] Well, the self-publishing system Joe & Oisin have written rocks quite a
]lot at the moment, and it's all in TCL, not *that* much Oracle specific
](though I do remeber a few PL/SQL questions being passed around). I'd
]reckon it would do about 30% of what Vignette does, not knowing exactly
]what Vignette is, apart from a semi-automated publishing system.
]
] And that's likely to be able 80% of what you would need. Of course, it
]still needs a lot of work. When it's ready for prime time, everyone would
]be allowed to use it to make their own websites (as well as groupy ones),
]though without "content input" bits, that are used on the main pages.
Although I don't know much about Vignette, I'm getting the impression that
it is similary to 'slash' (the slashdot code). Am I right, or can someone
elaborate a bit more on what Vignette actually is.
