I'm looking to write a network game, but aren't very good at networking -
previous attempts at me writing a server meant dead buggy (any likely
slow) networking code. Martin Feeney pointed me at a rather nice
server/client base, called "Zombie", but it's not very cross platform (I'd
like the client to be vaugely cross platform, even if the server wasn't),
and more importantly relies on having KDEcore and C++ installed. And I've
no intention of trying to learn C++ again, never mind using it on a game.
Any ideas?
