[ILUG] databases again

[ILUG] databases again

Interesting debate on slashdot about databases again:
http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=00/03/16/2151236&mode=nested&threshold=2

I liked the idea from the Oracle DBA (or so he claims of course) under
the title "Oracle strategies generalized to other RDBMS". Even if he
does ignore the fact that the db engine could corrupt the filesystem the
DB is on.. (summary: two machines running your DB, one raid partition
shared between them, only mounted by one machine at a time.)

Donncha.
