Hopefully this is not too OT...
On my pc, there is a 68 pin Ultra/Wide SCSI connector (On an Adaptec
7880B (2940 UW equivalent)), which i have not yet used.
There is a cd-writer in the office, with a 50 pin centronics connector,
which is currently being used on a mac.
If I purchase the appropriate cable, will i be able to simply plug the
drive into my linux box, and use it?
How will it turn up on the system? (will it be sda, since it is the only
scsi device (apart from the adapter itself)?)
Where is good to buy cable, is there only one type of 68pin scsi
connector?
