[ILUG] reinstalling windows!

[ILUG] reinstalling windows!

Try running
setup /?
To list all command line switches
Theres one there that forces setup to skip scandisk (I think its /is). You
could give that a try.
Just bear in mind that installing windows will overwrite LILO, so keep a
boot disk handy.

Cheers,
  Niall

Subject:	[ILUG] reinstalling windows!

Hi,
I just installed Mandrake 7.0 off the PC PLUS DVD, but I made a mistake
with partitioning the drive, and lost my windows partition. I had the "after
1024th cylinder" problem during the install, so I created a /boot partition
at the first sector to let me boot under LILO.
Linux works grand, but I can't get windows to reinstall, because SCANDISK
returns an error that it cant read the last cluster (i think).

Will I be able to get my machine dual booting without deleting my linux
partitions?

Finally, can anyone recommend a cheap linux-compatible external modem (pref.
56k) ?

thx in advance,
Alex.

BTW: I found when installing that there was a problem with the boot disk
creator. It works if you use the dos program tho.
