Subject: [ILUG] Modem...
I currently run Windows 95. Yes, I'm ashamed of myself. However, I will
shortly be moving to RedHat 6.1, and my modem is a *cough* internal 33.6k
USR x2 Winmodem. First of all, is there a Linux driver for it yet, and if
so - where? Or where's the best place to look myself?
If the modem is Lucent based, yoou can get a driver from my site at
www.indigo.ie/~shinnere/
AFAIK it comes with RH 6.1 anyway. The one on my site only works with
kernel 2.2.12-20. Check out Lucents own website for more up to date driver.
Unfortunately they are only binaries - not source - so can't be recompiled
to suit the kernel.
