[ILUG] Audio woes

[ILUG] Audio woes

Hi there,

I've got an Ensoniq AudioPCI Wavetable32 on my machine at home. After
installing Mandrake last week I can't get sound output to happen. The
correct module for the card is loaded up at startup but that isn't helping.
Anyone experienced this before? Another problem I had under RedHat that I
couldn't fix was that I couldn't play midi files. I can't remember the
specific message but it was something like '/dev/sequencer does not exist'
or 'invalid device type'. In ./dev I did have a sequencer device but no
amount of playing about cured the problem. Anyone know about this?

Noel
