I'm taking this off-list for a sec...
I was out at a product demo recently in Data Solutions ubnder the auspices
of my own company (Network Architects) as opposed to my employers!! ;-)
However, they were showing us this pretty cool product that sits behind
the router and shapes traffic according to a policy defined by you....
It's called Packeteer and what I've seen of it is pretty cool.... You can

My only problem with it is the way the 3 products are split the entry
level box only does up to a 384K pipe, however the next gen entry level
seems to do up to E1...
