yep -- if you have the preview window enabled, it's run automatically.
Otherwise, yes, it requires a double-click -- but even then this is easier
and more of a reflex action (as you say) in Outlook; in a UNIX mail reader
double-clicking on a shell script would simply save it to disk in most
cases. (however I can't speak for every UNIX mail reader of course.)
