Hi,
I'm a total newbie and was hoping you could help. I
know that a .forward file in a users home directory
can be used to forward mail to a different address,
but am I correct in thinking that it can also be used
to pipe mail through a script?
How can this be done? I have done some scripting and
am ok at it, but I dont see what commands I could
enter in the script that would deal with all a huge
text body like an email being piped into it. I want to
pipe it into a script that will filter it.. and echo
unwanted emails to /dev/null whilst forwarding the
rest to a different email account.
Anyone have a script for this?
Many Thanks,
Mick
