Either you misread the sign or they were cowboys - I've just checked,
neither of those two .ie domains are registered.

It should have the same rules as .ie. There's simply no point having
yet another free for all TLD.

And what domain name did he want? Doolin is a place, the rules are
very clear on this and have been for years. The rules which by the way
were drawn up by the Irish Internet Community.
