[ILUG] Memory Detection Problem

[ILUG] Memory Detection Problem

Stephen Shirley diamond at csn.ul.ie

Mornin,
I recently got myself a brand new Asus P5A motherboard,
128Mb RAM, and an Amd K6/2 500. The problem is that when I boot
into linux it only detects 64mb of ram. I have tried the mem=128M
option, and even mem=32M just to see if it made a difference.
Neither did - the machine still convinced that it only had
64mb. I tried 2.2.14 and 2.2.15 - both gave the same results. Does
anybody have any idea wtf is going on?

Steve
