no idea. probably better, but i don't know.
oh, and by hack i didn't mean bad code, but more design compromises in
which visuals they'd support at various servers bpp's.

depends on your video card i think. the non-hardware specific stuff is
quite stable from what i've read. The hardware module (there's only one
X server in XF4, the hardware drivers are dll's) for the Matrox cards is
also quite stable afaik..
so depends on your card. (i think kate's been running xf4 for a while now,
ask him).
