Hmmm:
IIRC, all of the ACER 300 series notebooks used the NeoMagic 128 XD 1.1 MB chipset, so it looks as if Kathryn will be able to solve her problem. Thanks to Liam for the tip on extern. I had tried to get an external going about a month ago but got too busy put any more time into it.
