Well, it's true. I appreciate the humour on the list, and the vast amount of
subjects that are discussed. However the smart comments and digs at people who
obviously don't know any better are a different story. It perpetuates the "geeks
are assholes" mentality.

As usual, I have to refer to PHP, because I've never seen anything like this in
Perl. The methodology may help though - see http://phpwizard.net/phpMyAdmin/.
It's a fairly hefty script used to administer MySQL - and Postgres I think -
databases, but it creates the data entry forms on the fly from the table defs.

Actually, now I come to think of it, there might be something in Perl - a MySQL
module was added to the stock Webmin install in the last few months. I can't
remember if it goes down as far as data entry, but it's worth a try. It's
available as an RPM - check http://www.webmin.com/webmin/. I think.
