And Colm still wouldn't have implemented it. Your writing a patch as against
his writing a patch doesn't change his fundamental argument against such
local patches - netx time he uses apt to update his box, bang go the
changes. Updating Debian via apt is his chosen method of maintaining the
box, and I've a sneaking suspicion he won't change that for your sake, if
Python fluency was suddenly to be given to you from on high.
