[ILUG] KDE problems

[ILUG] KDE problems

Niall niall at magicgoeshere.com
Tue May 16 13:29:33 IST 2000

How do I put something in the KDE panel ? I can do it by creating a new
application on the desktop, and then dragging this to the panel (though
there are oddities with the icon - although I've chosen a customised icon,
the button on the panel sometimes just gets the default cogwheel icon) and
the button also remains on the desktop.

This button on the panel now works as long as I leave the corresponding
button on the desktop. But as I don't want it there, I removed it but then
the button on the panel no longer works - it tells me that the .kdelnk file
doesn't exist. I want to know how to create an application button on the
panel only. Don't suggest RTFM as the M is not so F :-)

Regards,

Niall O Broin
