Hello,
I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me how to fix this: When
I run pine, it greets me with the warning: "Mailbox vulnerable, Directory
/var/spool/mail must have 1777 protetion".
The /var/spool/mail directory is owned by root, group mail, with 0755
permissions. Each file in the directory (Mailboxes), is owned by the
respective user, group mail, with 0600 as the permissions. I don't
understand why pine sees the mailboxes as vulnerable. How are they?
On another mail problem, I've noticed in the procmail logs
$HOME/.procmail/log, that procmail fails create locks. Is this related to
the first problem?
I don't really understand it all. Thanks for helping,
Garth
