I've used Donnchas sendmail installer to send and recieve my mail from a
dial up connection and it worked perfectly for months until yesterday,
fetchmail -v still works and gets mail but /usr/lib/sendmail -q no longer
sends the mail. issuing a /usr/lib/sendmail -bp shows a list of mail stuck
in the queque. I uninstalled sendmail and sendmail.cf rpm's and reinstalled
them then reconfigured using Donnchas handy script. fetchmail works fine but
sendmail still errors out with 'can detect host' 'lookup failure'.
any ideas,
what could have caused this considering that i didn't tamper with any files
recently?
