Did you change ISP?
Try run /usr/lib/sendmail -qv which will print some debugging info
AFAIR.
try and ping your ISP mail server and make sure you can find that server
in /etc/mail/sendmail.cf (or /etc/sendmail.cf) if you do a grep on that
file.
grep "mail.server.ie" /etc/sendmail.cf
should print something.
did you play around with dns settings recently?
