I followed the Kernel Traffic digest thingy for a while a couple of months 
ago and this came up. Linus and several others said no to it. I can't 
remember if there was a reason besides it being a pain to do but basically 
they're not going to do it. I think actually they told whoever brought it 
up to just get patches,
