the original SSC article about Titanic special fx rendering, by Daryll
Strauss:

http://www2.linuxjournal.com/lj-issues/issue46/2494.html

Of course Grant Boucher, the guy who debunked Linux at Digital Domain,
went and setup his own special fx company a little while later (stationx).
So one wonders about the politics of things.

Stationx also sell Alpha NT rendering software (spider).. so being
supportive of Linux/Alpha might not have been in Grant's commercial
interests.

So:

we have a confirmed and verified article about Linux/Titanic/Digital
Domain by Daryll Strauss (admittedly a linux fan) which was postive about
linux.

Vs

A second hand[1] report that linux sucked by Grant Boucher, who left
Digital Domain soon after Titanic to start his own Special FX company, and
to sell his own Alpha NT rendering software.
