Hmm... but NT wouldn't be 'always on'.   NT in my experience is more like
"uh why has my mail stopped working... oh lurvely NT is acting up again...
shite! gotta reboot.... second time in 3 weeks.... oh well!"  and then
theres all the hullabaloo about service packs and latency for patches to
cover recent exploits and all of that.   Bother, bother toil and trouble :)
