Hi Niall,
I have a Yamaha 8424S SCSI and i use grip on it all the time. Ive burned
lots of audio CDs without a single hitch as well as DATA. Sorry to be of no help whatsoever,
but my model is similar and works aok. Perhaps you should investigate a flash update for
the writer off Yamahas site??
