[ILUG] Raw newbie wants to do it all

Philip Reynolds phil at redbrick.dcu.ie
Wed May 31 14:15:06 IST 2000

Donncha O Caoimh's [donncha.ocaoimh at tradesignals.com] 24 lines of dribble included:
:>POP and IMAP servers are already installed, but I'd remove the IMAP
:>server. There was a security alert about one of the IMAP servers a few
:>weeks back and you might be affected.. (edit /etc/inetd.conf and restart
:>inetd or reboot your machine if you don't know how.. cop out I know but
:>:)

Just because I'm bored I might as well throw in:
killall -HUP inetd
or
kill -HUP <pid of inetd>
will restart inetd.
