[ILUG] Curious Problem

I've an ISDN TA on a serial port. 230400 receives data fine from the net.  
I just tried to Secure Copy a 300K file up to a few different machines. To my
surprise the connection seems to hang, as in no network traffic.  

Any ideas anyone... ?
