	There is a wireless-tools package shipped with RedHat. It contains
configuration utilities for wireless ethernet. These three are supported :
				AT&T GIS / NCR WaveLAN version 2.0 
				DEC RoamAbout/DS 
				Xircom CreditCard Netwave 
and you can buy a: Lucent Wireless ethernet $200 
802.11 DS wireless ethernet for the BlackPerl Z, Kiwi, Orca, or SilverComet 
hot-swappable 
64-bit encripted transmissions (WEP) 
11 Mbps speed 
up to 500 foot transmission 
N cards can talk without a base station.

I have done nothing myself but there are projects started in my class using
Bluetooth for that purose. I can let you know how they get on if you remind
