[ILUG] New bootable business card ISO available

[ILUG] New bootable business card ISO available

Niall O Broin niall at magicgoeshere.com
Sat Nov 11 15:38:27 GMT 2000

Hello all,
This is to announce that an ISO of version 1.0 of the Irish Linux
User Group's bootable business card CD, which is based on Linuxcare's BBC
version 1.21, is now available for download from

ftp://ftp.blackstar.co.uk/pub/ILUG/ILUG_BBC.iso

thanks to Wesley Darlington. The ISO's md5sum is

4131e94dcf86d7c891c5ca9714b3c4d5

Differences from the Linuxcare BBC ver. 1.21

[] Kernel 2.2.16 with latest PCMCIA module & utilities.

[] OpenSSH

[] wvdial works :-) (although wvdial.conf contains details of a couple of Irish
call-by-call ISPs, which probably won't be of much use outside Ireland :-) )

[] Perl

[] Timpanogas Group's Netware Tools incl. Netware filesystem support

[] Non-US keyboards supported - quite interesting to those outside the U.S.

[] Reiser FS support

[] The Coroner's Toolkit

[] A document describing how to build your own BBC (NOT a dummy's guide)

[] A script to help you build your own BBC.

[] Nice ILUG Tux logo :-)

Kindest regards,

Niall O Broin

P.S. There are still some available burnt onto the business card CDs for
ILUG members - contact me if you want one. I've now sent out all those which
were ordered AFAIK so if you were expecting one and you don't see it within
a couple of days drop me a line.
