You still haven't told us the url in question...! :-)
I've found netscape gets unhappy when my home directory is on nfs,
otherwise it's fine. Remove your cache directory periodically, though,
especially after this has happened.
Me? I find netscape 4.73 on debian to be pretty good (*) - rarely hangs
or dies.
