Has anyone else had this problem. I just installed VMWare for Windows last
night on Windows 2000. VMWare for Linux ended up with Windows being REAL
slow among other problems. My problem is that when I start up RH7 in VMWare
I get an error about gdm.pid already being there and something like "gdm
appears to have been mysteriously murdered". This message keeps flashing up
on screen and the console is unusable. Funnily enough X never starts. I've
got a GeForce 2. I'm wondering do I need to boot into RH on it's own and
change the X setup to use a bog standard VGA server?
Anyone got any ideas??
Thanks,
Derek
