[ILUG] Reset mouse in X?

I notice the mouse disappearing a lot
in both Linux and doze on my armada 1750.
It's easier to get back in Linux as I
can just flick to a virtual desktop &
back to restore the mouse. doze requires
me to change the video resolution using
just the keyboard.
