[ILUG] mail hubs...

kevin lyda kevin at suberic.net

ok, right now mail leaves my laptop direct for the net. since more
and more mail servers are dropping mail from dialup connections, what
i would like it to do is use a mail hub. so let's say i have a machine
foo.net on the net. how can i configure foo.net to accept mail from my
machine with any From address and from any ip address?

for example, i might connect from 1.2.3.4 and send a message to
ilug at linux.ie from kevin at suberic.net, and then another message to
bigkahuna at doolin.net from kevin at itg.ie. later on i might do a similar
sequence from 7.8.9.10.

is there an authenticated smtp?
