nope.. and as other people mentioned, to get a temporary change from lilo
you can do
<image name> <runlevel>
so you can do:
linux 3
to go to level 3.
You can also do
linux init=/bin/sh
if you fubar everything, and then
mount -o remount,rw / /
mount /usr
so that you can get editors happy etc...
