[Hey - akawaka - your reply-to, or From: is broken. Mutt just tried
to reply to akawaka at my-local-machine, which (unless you've r00t3d my
box) won't work.]

I synched up with the latest CVS sources and I'm impressed. It's now
faster than NS4.75 on my RH6.2, XFree4.0.1, Athlon 900, 128MB, ATI XPert
something-or-other.

It doesn't work for me with https: URLs, don't know why yet. However,
this code base is pretty much what's been released as NS6, so try
grabbing the official Linux NS6 packages from ftp.netscape.com.

Also, note that the Mozilla Mxx milestone binaries are built without
optimisation (I think). Default for out-of-the-box sources are to
build with debug & without opt. This makes for a large build tree
and a slow browser.

Instead, if you're building from source, create ~/.mozconfig like this:

   # Build configuration script
   #
   # See http://www.mozilla.org/build/unix.html for build instructions.
   #

   # Options for client.mk.
   mk_add_options MOZ_OBJDIR=@TOPSRCDIR@/../moz- at CONFIG_GUESS@

   # Options for 'configure' (same as command-line options).
   ac_add_options --disable-mailnews
   ac_add_options --disable-debug
   ac_add_options --disable-tests
   ac_add_options --enable-optimize

If you want the built-in mail and news reader, remove the --disable-mailnews
line, obviously.

Later,
Kenn
