[ILUG] Connecting to network services very slow.

Poss 1: The remote machine is doing ident (?) lookups to your machine,
        which is ipchained to DENY everything.
Soln 1: REJECT or allow through port 113/tcp - but don't run anything on
        that port.

However, what do you mean "Once I am connected, cd, ls, ..etc is very 
slow aswell"? You type "ls" and five minutes later its ouptut starts
coming...? Woah - freaky! Is this an NIS problem?
