A bit OT, but need to start somewhere....
We're in the process of looking at moving some development over from Solaris to Linux for a number of reasons. But in doing so we need to come up with an alternative development/test environment which would involve little change for the developers...
We're not sure of platform atm, maybe Sparc, PowerPC, or x86.
The following need alternative solutions as the vendors don't have (or have limited versions of) these products:
Rational Purify
Rational Quantify
Geodesic Systems Great Circle
Parasoft Code Wizard
IPL Cantata++
Sun Workshop (now Forte)
Not seeking an alternative for these, but looking for experience stories of these products on linux:
ACE+TAO 1.1.4
Rational Clearcase
TIA
RikD.
