Hi All,
I have a pretty curious problem as the subject states.
I have 9 machines here, all the same spec they are NEC Directions with
Athlon 900's and a VIA chip set with 133Mhz SDRAM. I had no problem
installing RedHat 6.2 but immediatly after the reboot I get a
Segmentation fault at the CPU ID phase of boot up. This occurs on a line
that also reads disabling CPU Serial Number. straight away after this it
comes up with a Kernel panic.
Anyone see anything similar or is it a known bug with the Athlons and
Linux?
Best Regards
Robert
