Hi all,
I have done that fatal thing, I knew some of the Belkin UPSes came with
Linux prparedness and when one was waved under my nose I bought it without
checking . In mitigation I would ask the jury to make allowences for the fact
that I've had 3 blackouts and 2 severe brownouts in the last 2 months !!,
fortunately no trashed hardware yet but the odds are shortening.
However on opening the "You agree to everything envelope" and placing it in
my CD I discovered that the "pro protection 625VA" doesn't come with any Linux
software and powerd doesn't talk to it very well at all, in fact it seems to
tell powerd that it has lost input every time it's scaned. Advice tips etc...
greatly apreciated. Thanks all. -- Philip Quinlan <philipq at connect.ie>
