With nmap, use the -p flag to specify a port.
eg 'nmap -v -p 110 10.0.0.1-255'

: Hi ...
:: Would anyone know a quick way finding out what machines have particular
: ports open?
: ie. Take for example I have x boxes & I wish to find out which have pop3
: running so I want to check for an open port 110 on all of these?
: I know that nmap wil scan a range of ip's to see what's there, but does
: anyone know if that search can be narrowed just to search for one port
: or if there's another tool which will do this?
:: thanks
