Yeah, but some of us don't remember back that far due to work and other
commitments. Personally speaking, I usually keep abreast of upcoming
events through the Social list or, for big events, through the linux.ie
site. How much trouble would it have been for someone to get a mention for
WILD on the homepage, you seem to have put a lot of effort into organising
the days. You could also have put up an announcemnet page at
galway.linux.ie instead of the 'this site is under construction' message.
That way you could have launched the site with the announcement. The Cork
site is the best place to find out about LAID, or it was last year, so why
wasn't it mentioned on the Galway site? In short, mails come and go and
nobody is going to remember something said over 2 months ago. God there
wasn't even any posts to the list about organisation or anything. Galway
of all places is the worste place to find accomodation at short notice.
You could have even posted last week. Why wait til now?
