[ILUG] caching in Name Servers

[ILUG] caching in Name Servers

Tomas Winston chi at bruce-lee.com

Would anyone happen to know what the general method is for caching in name
servers?

I am presuming that it is done using a hash structure of some kind but what
kind of hashing function?

The reason I am asking is because I am to implement a DNS name server for
my FYP. Also sould anyone know any other good reference material which
would be of some use to me in designing and implementing a nameserver
(besides the RFCs of course?)

rgds,

Tomas
