Okay i have to admit that I am new to the nfs game but I have tried to
set it up and it does not seem to work.
On my workstation I have placed a directory in the /etc/exports file as
follows

/home/beowulf eeng(rw)

eeng is in my /etc/hosts file with the corresponding IP No.
I have run rpc.mountd and rpc.nfsd.
when I log on to eeng as root and type

mount -t nfs beowulf:/home/beowulf /mnt/beowulf

(where beowulf is the name for my workstation) I get permission denied.
does anyone know what I have done wrong or what i failed to do.
I really need to set this up.
Reguards will
