KDE2 is very smooth and has it's admirers - including me.
But the gnome admirers will simply find another excuse^H^H^H^H^H^Hreason
to dislike KDE.
But in the end they both serve different people for different reasons
and will both be appreciated for what they do.
Personally I hope to see more cooperation AND competition between them.
