me" into it is going a bit far."

What's the difference between painting Gates as the Devil & painting RMS as
the Devil?
Neither of them are actually truly evil. However they are 80% motivated by
the same thing, they want their software and the ideology behind it running
on everything. For Gates it's simply a matter of greed, for RMS it's a
matter of what he calls freedom, in this case I don't think he understands
the term as his has a socialist slant but the motivation is the same. 
Both of these are the few truly "pure" emotions.

So who or what is the Devil and does she/he/it matter in the computer
industry?
But that's enough of the existentialism..for now. ;-)
