Last time I looked (quite some time ago) they were that kind of price. I
just had a quick look at Scan - 3Com's TA is ~ £300 but they have an Asus
for about £100, and as I was quoting the price of the Asus internal  . . .

Where did you get this from ? An internal TA is on the ISA/PCI bus and
accordingly can receive data as fast as the bus can send it and it can take
it. Why should it be restricted to 112KBPS ?

OK - valid answer for you specific situation. As this is a Linux list, I
don't mind arguing over the optimum solution for Linux :-)
