Postfix installed and working nicely, as you may recall. However, I've now
got a relaying problem. In maillog I see
Sep 10 14:09:42 mailhub postfix/smtpd[4093]: connect from
host.domain-a.domain-b.tld[a.b.c.d]
Sep 10 14:09:43 mailhub postfix/smtpd[4093]: 99DC628DBF:
client=host.domain-a.domain-b.tld[a.b.c.d]
Sep 10 14:09:43 mailhub postfix/smtpd[4093]: reject: RCPT from
host.domain-a.domain-b.tld[a.b.c.d]: 554
<Bill.Gates at microsoft.com>: Recipient address rejected: Relay access denied;
from=<Linus.Torvalds at linux.com> to=<Bill.Gates at microsoft.com>
As you can guess, some details have been changed to protect the innocent :-)
Now, the curious point is that domain-b.tld IS in the postfix relay-domains
file, and postfix is reading that file, because it is relaying mail for
other domains in relay-domains. I have double checked the contents of
relay-domains and I have stopped and started postfix, yet it still refuses
to relay for this one domain. Ideas, anyone ?
Regards,
Niall
