I posted about three weeks ago about some nasty ISDN problems that I
couldn't solve. And I still can't, and now it's really annoying me. I
traced through on the Eircom side, and they can see the connection, and
then it seems as if the card (HiSax based) on this side "powers off". Very
odd. I've tryed two cards - both work in windows, not on linux.
This works *fine* in windows. On linux...I just get a
"local hangup. cause: 001B"
... in the logs. There is some explanation in the docs about this, as to
why it's caused, but they are in german, so they aren't as much help as
the might be. And does anyone know what a "MSN" field is ? (Looks like a
replacment for caller id or something).
If anyone has had loads of fun with ISDN, could they call me on 086
8208986, and much pints will flow your way, if I can get this fixed.
Failing that....some way of getting a win98 machine with a working ISDN
card to forward on much needed mail from Eircom to a linux machine would
be appriciated...this is urgent...
